Rita received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Following graduation, she spent a year in Montpellier, France, studying on a Fulbright Scholarship, followed by a year of post-graduate study at the University of Pittsburgh.
She received her Juris Doctor from the Northern Illinois University College of Law in 1982, and has been practicing law since then.
Rita has extensive experience in all aspects of real estate law, including purchase and sale, installment agreements, short sales, business contracts, and litigation to protect a homeowner’s rights. She is also experienced in matters of title and title insurance.
She has broad experience in traffic defense, including DUIs and assisting clients with reinstating their driver’s license. Her practice extends to family law matters, assisting clients in preparing their wills, probating estates, and taking clients through the guardianship process.
One of the most satisfying areas of Rita's practice is being able to offer her help with adoptions, for that always leads to a happy conclusion.
Rita is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and in the United States District Courts. She regularly takes cases in Kane, McHenry, Cook (Rolling Meadows) ,and DuPage Counties.
