Adoptions and Guardianships:
Our Adoption practice covers children both born in the United States and overseas. We work closely with the agencies that have custody of the child before adoption. In many cases we are facilitating adoption by the spouse of the natural parent of the child.
Child Custody, Support, and Visitation:
Problems over custody, child support, and visitation can arise in divorce situations and between parents who have never been married to each other. The law applies in either situation. We help you understand what are you rights, obligations, options, and at what point disagreements must be resolved in a trial.
Divorce:
Dissolution of Marriage is a nice way to say "divorce". We try to help parties end their relationship in as fair and amicable a manner as possible. But, if disputes cannot be resolved, we will take the matter to court and litigate what must be resolved by a judge. Our services extend to child support, child custody, visitation, and other related family matters involved in a divorce action.
Wills, Trusts, and Probate:
Probate seems something to avoid by many people. But Probate is an orderly way to carry out the terms of a will, so that the wishes of the deceased are honored. The probate process is not as intimidating as people believe. We can explain the process for you before you make a will.
A revocable living trust is a way to avoid probate and we can explain the advantages and disadvantages depending on your financial and personal circumstances.
